Before Going To Khoj The Field Trip 

 “Ria!” Rohan scampered about with his rucksack looking for his twin sister. Ria’s things were thrown all around their room. It was like an angry tornado had visited their room. Their Khoj things were anywhere but their rucksacks. “Kids you both are going for a three days and two nights Khoj field trip to Delhi, NOT a month in Japan!” Said their mother laughing at their silliness. “Khoj is five days away. No packing till I say so!” “Mom!” The twins shouted.

The next day Rohan and Ria reached school. Aarav ran up to them and said, “Did you hear the news? Khoj is now tomorrow. I have already finished packing!” Aarav looked confused as the twins shouted on top of their lungs, “NO!” Back at home,the house was messier than a laundry room.The closet was open, and all the clothes were falling out. The table was filled with stationery and toiletry items, it all truly was pretty messy. After the packing was more or less finished the twins’ father told them to go to the park to relax.

Swinging on the swings of the park, the twins’ were still very anxious. Just then Vanya came, “Aarav said that you both are a bit worried about Khoj. Can I help in any way?”

“Well…-” Ria started.

“You two should not be troubled.” Vanya interupted. “Khoj is just Khoj. Unwind! If you overthink you will surely forget something, calm down.”

“That really helped,” Rohan said.

The three of them played cheerfully until dinner time.


After dinner the twins were content eating chocolate when the door of their room crashed open and their parents came in . “We know you both are very fretful, with scary things that could happen in Khoj like crossing the road forgetting some things and more,” their father started,” But you need to relax!” their mother finished.

Rohan then said ,”We had already calmed down, but after hearing that…”

“We are even more worried!” Ria finished. “ Oh no!” Their parents groaned as the twins opened the rucksacks again to match the checklist for the 10th time.

  I love reading books, meeting different authors and illustrators has always been a source of great excitement for me. I had the opportunity to meet Nikkolas Smith, an American contemporary artist, illustrator and activist, who was visiting our school. Murals painted by Nikkolas Smith raise awareness about social issues and promote social change.   One of the most famous books he has written and illustrated is the book "The Artivist". It talks about a small boy solving social issues by paintings.He also helped create pictures in the movie "Black Panther: Wokanda Forever".  When Nikkolas Smith came to our school, he talked about how even us kids can make a change in this world. Then we all made drawings of the social issues we witnessed, and discussed why it is important to stop these issues. I was really inspired by the speech and hoped to make a difference in this world some day as well.

My First MUN Experience

                                                My First MUN Experience MUN or Model United Nations is a practice to know more about how the UN or United Nations works. It is a discussion between parties to find solutions on a common problem.  For my first MUN, I took part in the Conference Of The Parties 29 or COP 29. It took place from 9th august 2024 to 11th august 2024. I was very excited but since this was my first time attending a MUN, I had no idea of how to start preparing. I participated in a few training sessions, and got the big idea behind it. Meeting Paul Nurse

  25/May/2025 at India International Centre During my summer vacations, I had the opportunity to meet Paul Nurse, a Nobel laureate.  Paul Nurse is an English geneticist, former president of the Royal Society and Chief Executive and Director of the Francis Crick Institute.   He was born on  25 January 1949, in Norwich, United Kingdom. Paul Nurse shares the Nobel prize for physiology or medicine with Leland H. Hartwell and R. Timothy Hunt. They were given the prize in 2001, for discovering key regulators of the cell cycle. Paul Nurse was also awarded the Copley Medal in 2005. His work also aided in the scientific understanding of cancer. He visited India this summer, and I got the  opportunity to sit through a talk. It was very informative, throughout the talk he tried to answer a vital question : What is life? From his own insights, to fun facts, his talk was an eye-opener to the understanding of life.
