A Trip To Ranthambore
A Trip To Ranthambore
My grandparents came from Kolkata to spend sometime with me, my sister and my parents. We decided a weekend trip to Ranthambore in Rajasthan. My grandfather likes the forests and the animals so we decided it was the right decision. Saturday morning we all loaded our car and set off for the adventurous road trip. Once we reached Ranthambore we took a break and had lunch at a restaurant. After that we visited the famous Ranthambore fort. The view was amazing! The pictures we took were of walls with great architecture, a blue sky with a lake and fields of grass and pebbles. Cute little monkeys and birds flooded the fort. All I can say is that it was very fun and exciting. We reached the hotel right before sunset, and for the rest of the evening I drew pictures of the sceneries around. My parents and grandparents discussed about the next day's safari while sipping hot cups of tea along with chicken and veg pakoras. The next day we all woke up extra early for the jungle safari. We sat at the back of a canter, and buckled up for adventure. Even though we didn't see a tiger, we still saw other wonderful birds and animals like deer, peacock, monkey and more. After the safari we ate our breakfast and started off to our next stop. We visited the famous haunted fort in the Alwar district. It is called the Bhangarh fort, located at the border of the Sariska reserve. My mother told me that Bhangarh fort was my first travel destination in India 10 years ago, so I was delighted to see the fort again. It was a great experience, we saw temples and a palace. I climbed the stairs at the back of a temple and witnessed the magnificent view of everything inside the fort. After that we drove back home, talking about the great weekend until we reached home. To sum up, I loved our weekend getaway, it was the best!
